Vintage 1940's Harley Davidson Kidney Belt "Very Rare" Vintage 1940's Harley Davidson Kidney Belt "Very Rare" Early on, the roads were rutted packed dirt, gravel or in the big towns, paving bricks. Motorcycles had no rear suspension. Every little bump and rut was felt from the rear wheel through the frame and seat to your kidneys. Thank God you have on your riding belt, later to be called the kidney belt. This particular vintage kidney belt has some history. It was just picked up from the original owner, who purchased it himself in 1941. It is brown leather embossed with the Harley name and logo in the center. T are three rivets at the top and two ornamental leather pieces riveted on below the name. On each side are two zippered compartments, both zippers are working but the leather stitching has partially come apart on the seam of one of them. The buckle is absolutely huge....it measures approx. 5.5" high x 4" wide and has some oxidation; nothing at all has been done to clean or treat it by us and is exactly as it was when we came across this awesome find. This piece absolutely shows age with some wear and discoloration, but is an awesome vintage piece. It measures approx. 34 5/8" long x 6.5" at the widest point. It comes from a smoke-free environment. It is adjustable for a waist from approx. 26" to 29". Paypal payments only.
